This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album is a refreshing version of Taylor Swift's public narrative. She takes responsibility for things, looking at the ups and downs of the past years of her life while also remaining authentically Taylor Swift with the shade we love. Songs like Cruel Summer, The Man and Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince are the driving force of the album, however, some songs are almost too sugary sweet and can only be listened to a few times before you're tired of it like London Boy and You Need To Calm Down.

Overall, it is a good album with strong lyricism, relatability and positive light. It would have received a higher score if there was just a touch more honesty and less of a view with rose coloured glasses.

A decent album that I did quite enjoy. It has probably one or two songs that I can listen to on repeat just for the share fact of how good they are. I do feel that this album is a bit long and that the second part of the album does fall short on the quality the first part of the album. Questionable single choices but over all. A decent pop album.

Soft album, but not for all. Anyway, my favorite song is "You need to calm down" And music video for this song just great!

Serving a new sense to pop music. Swift coming with her fuzzy pop sound yet again to blow our minds.

The production is sweet, puts you in the best mood, they work perfectly with the lyrics, it's a sweet production that is deep compared to her previous work.

The album is long, but has 0 fillers, every song is perfect compared to the other songs, the thing that left many people wishing is the lack of heavy danceable pop songs like shake it off, yet it is perfect without them. She made a beautiful, perfect, amazing love letter to her lover.

Bon album, pop plus sucrée que le précédent. Il contient malheureusement quelques pistes jetables.
Mais le rendu total est bon Mention spéciale au second sinfle qui est le tube de l'album : "You Need to Calm Down".

Another great entry by Swift! Though Reputation was a great album, Lover is a step up from that!

Lover is a really lovely pop record. It makes you happy. However, it is a downgrade compared to her previous albums. Cruel Summer, Lover, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince and False God are the most impressive songs on this project. Still, the album has more than one forgettable song and some BAD songs such as "ME!" or "It's Nice To Have A Friend":

As always, «Lover» is an album Swift made for her fans. But it also feels like a record she made for herself, unburdened by external expectations and her own past. When it hits the right notes, it demonstrates just why Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Nevertheless, It’s probably five bad songs away from being better than «1989». «ME!» still sounds like a musical number taken out of context, just unearned celebratory fanfare without plot or character development, so dead-eyed it’s spooky. But she’s better when she gives herself real space to think, as on «Cornelia Street», a lovely, understated tribute to memory and nostalgia with the power to make one rarefied block of Manhattan feel universal. Great album. This Taylor album has a lot of mixed emotions. The man is one of the songs as it explains how our society is. The lyrics are awesome and some songs have great instrumental. However, I don't like the pop on some songs and lyrics, "ME!" and "you need to calm down" basically have a not-so special meaning and the beat is too mainstream. Album is a roller coaster of emotions.

Lover is a good album with actual songs that I liked but some tracks are really forgettable and brings nothing to the album. Also, the single 's choice are really bad except lover (song) because they don't represent the album. I had a feeling that too much repetitive.
Favorites: Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince, False God, Cruel Summer and I Think You Know

This album makes you smile. It’s really first album which was written and sung Taylor Swift but it has so emotional songs too. But unfortunatly, the album doesn’t have true single. But it’s still good album.

Primeiro álbum dela que escutei inteiro, não gosto muito deste estilo mas o dela até que me conquistou, gosto da maioria das músicas, algumas eu deixaria de fora e a minha favorita é a faixa-título Lover.

My least favorite Taylor Swift album, but I still can't give a low point since this album takes me back to 2019 and reminds me of how incredible my life was back then. This album is confused. It has too many tracks and I do believe that she should have scrapped at least 4 of them. Everything about this album is weird, the artwork, the sound, the single choices, the lyrics. This album has showcases the best and worst of Taylor. The album is a swift misdirection from it's predecessor, Reputation. Songs like Cruel Summer, Cornelia Street, London Boy, False God, and Death By A Thousand Cuts could have easily earned this album a 9 out of 10, but sadly songs like ME! and The Man anchor it in place.

Lover has so many great songs on it, but as a whole, it’s one of my least favorite pop albums by Taylor Swift. I don’t think ME! or YNTCD are representative of her lyrical talent & err on the side of cookie cutter pop.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A great pop album, but sadly, there are way too many fillers on this album. Songs like 'It's Nice To Have A Friend', 'ME!' and 'You Need To Calm Down' could've been left out as they are boring and annoying and only bring the album down. I understand that 'I Forgot That You Existed' acts as a bridge from her previous album 'reputation' to Lover, but honestly, who cares? When I started listening to that song, I thought to myself, "Is this album just gonna be filled with such boring songs?", she should've just put 'Cruel Summer' as the album opener as well as the lead single as that song would definitely get both of those jobs done perfectly. Again, not a bad album, just a lot of useless songs that bring down the album an devalue the good ones. Though, I must say songs like the title track, 'Death By A Thousand Cuts' or 'Cornelia Street' definitely make this album worthy of a listen. Expand

Ultimately, Lover is overstuffed and meandering, but serves as a positive reprieve from her past struggles in the public eye, and represents an artist at the peak of her creativity, power, and—one hopes—continued romantic bliss.

Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
