Sorry I can't handle she never sings live so I think It's useless to give even just a point (of 10) to her. I'd like too see really talented people making music instead of her..

Glory is definitely not her best effort but is much much better than her previous two efforts (Britney Jean and Femme Fatale). This album is alot like her previous work. However i do have to say it has alot of resemblance to Selena Gomez's REVIVAL (2015). So before taking an album out Spears or her label should have seen that an album close to Glory already exists and is not very old, since its a good contender for Best Pop Vocal album. However as far as Grammys for Glory is concerned, she is not one of the strongest contenders with this album for any nomination but maybe for Best Pop Vocal Album but i highly doubt that. She has Sia, Adele, Selena, Justin and Ariana who have a greater chance in being nominated this year. Expand

The only change I would make - is a track list. I can see that Britney's team wanted to show a different side of the singer, but "Private Show" doesn't deserve that attention, that was tried to be created. The song sounds like just an introduction to something much stronger and powerful and definitely could be easily replaced in main track list with an interesting "Change Your Mind". Same can say about "Hard To Forget You" - the song really doesn't go anywhere and could be replaced by fun and dancy "If I'm Dancing".
But in general Britney did an awesome job!

Britney Spears show with this new album the perfection of Pop, shows the actual sound of pop music with her characteristic "touch", good lyrics, vocals and amazing production. After the deception with her 8th studio album, Britney Jean, with Glory, she does what her fans and general public expected about her, a legendary masterpiece. The entire album is recommended.

Este definitivamente é o melhor álbum da Britney Spears desde "In The Zone".
No replay estão: Invitation, Make me, Slumber party, What you need, Change your mind, If'm dancing, Just like me, Man on the moon e Just love me.
Recomendo esse álbum à aqueles que procuram ouvir algo, divertido, despretensioso, experimental, sexy, dançante e acima de tudo a aqueles que querem ouvir o melhor de Britney Spears.

Whether you are a huge fan, or you can’t stand her, you cannot deny she’s had an incredibly large impact on the music industry. Although her vocals may not be a favorite of music critics, it has a certain tone and edge that makes her songs addictive. Over the past 18 years, she’s been through so many obstacles that many of us may never have to face. After the fan favorite (and one of my personal favorites) Blackout, Britney released Circus, Femme Fatale, and Britney Jean. While Circus and Femme Fatale had strong singles, some lacked a certain “spark” that Britney fans loved about the singer. Britney Jean was a bit worrisome, because not only was the music subpar and dated (aside from Work B**ch which was a personal favorite off that album), but Britney herself didn’t really seem attached to the project in general. It is also a bit of a gray area as to how much Britney actually sang in that album, but I won’t get into that here. Two years after the underwhelming release of Britney Jean, “Pretty Girls” made its way onto the airwaves and unfortunately, it suffered the same issue that Britney Jean had. The sound was outdated, the song itself was a bit annoying and Iggy Azalea had just started receiving backlash from the public for her controversial comments regarding race. Fast forward to today, where we have the best album that Miss Spears has put out in years, and could possibly be her best album yet. Glory takes elements from all of her past albums (sans Brenda Joan), explores new areas, and remains entirely cohesive. The album opens with “Invitation”, a beautiful and angelic ballad that showcases Britney’s beautiful falsetto, and goes into “Make Me” (“Do You Wanna Come Over?” on the CD version). “Make Me” is one of Britney’s strongest leads in years. It’s not the only lead-single worthy track on the album, but we’ll get into that later. “Private Show” remains fun and catchy, but it’s definitely not the best off the album. “Man On The Moon” does exactly what “Alien” tried to do, but this time, it succeeds. Britney’s sweet vocals glide over this happy-go-lucky track, but what makes this song so interesting is that the lyrics are actually quite depressing. Remind anyone else of another Brit song released back in the day? Plus, the instrumental is absolutely gorgeous, especially during the bridge. Next up is my personal favorite off the album, and it seems to be a fan favorite too! “Just Luv Me” is a career moment for Britney. It is reminiscent of the 2016 sound created by Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, but it is so much more. This song absolutely could have been the lead single as well, I’d think of this as the “Toxic” of Glory. The simplistic yet incredibly beautiful instrumental compliments Britney’s sexy vocals as she requests to only be “loved”. It’s one of her best songs in years, dare I say it could potentially be her most iconic single since “Gimme More”? “Clumsy” and “Do You Wanna Come Over?” were both released as instant grats, and they both welcome the return of the beloved Blackout sound, especially the latter. Britney dives into new territories with the midtempo jam “Slumber Party”, which could totally be a future single. It’s fun, sexy and Brit even drops the F-bomb during the chorus. “Just Like Me” (not to be confused with Just Luv Me) is a guitar driven song with an electro-pop chorus. Britney’s vocals sound fantastic, and while this song took a few listens for it to grow on me, it’s now one of my favorites. “Love Me Down” is one of my favorites off the album. While originally rumored to be a ballad, it’s completely the opposite. It’s a fun, dance-floor jam that would have an amazing music video if it were released. “Hard To Forget Ya” is another boppy song that also has single potential (notice how many songs have single potential). “What You Need” is a fun album closer that falls within the same realm as “Private Show”, you’re either gonna love it or hate it. Personally I love it! Now, the bonus tracks. The bonus tracks are all amazing. Seriously, all of them are incredible and could have been standard tracks. “Better” is Britney’s “Lean On” and I am HERE FOR IT. “Change Your Mind” is one of my favorite songs as well, and it features Brit singing in Spanish! (Watch out, Christina). “Liar” is another career moment for Britney. I don’t know how this isn’t on the standard version. It’s Britney going back to her pure pop roots and I LOVE IT. “Cry, Cry Cry you ain’t fooling anyone” she chants as we all pretend this song is about JT. “If I’m Dancing” is the most uptempo track on the album and it’s SO good. It’s like 2016’s “Brave New Girl” and I am so in love with it. The deluxe album closes on a very surprising note with Britney singing (beautifully) in French paying homage to 2007’s “Blackout”. Overall, this album has proven to be her strongest effort so far, and I recommend that everyone give it a chance. The queen is back! Expand

Glory makes for an enjoyable listen, and it definitely a huge step-up from 2013's Britney Jean. Her vocals are less processed and they shine in different places (see "Private Show"). The reason I gave it a 7 is some tracks are very forgettable, like the last 3 tracks on the standard edition, but songs like "Private Show". "Man on the Moon", and "Make Me..." really make up for it. Many years later, in his ninth album in a career as erratic as lying in artistic terms, that girl with air dirty travesty of innocence is gone, but his quest for maturity ran into a bad repertoire as those of yore.

Yes, Britney Spears reappeared trying to show a maturing as artificial as a vase full of plastic flowers.

The whole thing starts by its cover, which appears as a version of "chic haired scarecrow" of Jennifer Lopez. When the first track, "Invitation", starts playing, can you draw that Britney calls for his hypothetical maturity trying to emulate that introspective / electronic side that Beyonce and many others show some time in their jobs, far more interesting and genuine way, tell by the way. It is a bad sign of what's next? No doubt about it ...

"Make Me ..." brings the participation of rapper G-Eazy - well, he calls himself this way, but no more than a white boy lying - which adds absolutely nothing to this pathetic song whose melodic and harmonic sequence has been heard in dozens of other songs within the same harvest pop
In "Private Show" and "Man on the Moon," Britney sings like a Gweni Stefani flu. His voice is so 'robotics' because of the numerous tuning software that have the impression that she is twelve metal balls stuck in the throat. The song itself is a silly with light touches of soul, in which bet on simplicity with the use of few instruments and a half timbragem 'vintage' to disguise the total emptiness of the letter and the very ... er ... 'interpretation' of girl. If she thought she could pass the maturity print, spent ridiculous.
"Just Luv Me" can be described as "cheap perfume advertising music sung by a slapper working on a phone sex pretending to be a 16 year old girl," a simply disgusting thing in terms of pop falsehood. In "Clumsy" she tries to imitate the timbre of the English singer Duffy in a song with timbragem "Eurodance" so abominable that makes you want to throw up a purple-green goo. She returns to do the same in "What You Need", with less compelling results, since the song has a retro air with a strong British influence and serves almost as a balm for the remaining aberrations festival. Even worse is when it gets to sing like Kylie Minogue in a crap titled "Do You Wanna Come Over," weaker than Nescau diluted in the water tank of a building.
But nothing beats the mix of r & b plastic, bossa nova and reggae "Slumber Party", one of the most gruesome songs that emerged in this galaxy in the last three million years. With a completely wrong arrangement, letterheads instruments by a deaf marmot and a letter apparently composed of a retarded teenager who just discovered masturbation, is one of those bombs that even someone just clueless as Britney could record. Other Babylonian crap are "Love Me Down," an R & B with Jamaican pinches that makes the No Doubt sound like Led Zeppelin and "Just Like Me", which even begins with a guitar rustic and interesting sound, but that empties in other electronic pop very weak.

Glory just have a moment of salvation: "Hard to Forget Ya". It is hidden at the end of the album - is the penultimate track standard edition - and has everything a good cançãopop have to have, that is, has a strong chorus, weight, a line of vocal choice, tense and almost aggressive, alternating with a softness placed in the right dose. Too bad she in no way served as a reference for the remaining disk.

With a production that could not be pasteurized in times pseudocantoras trying to portray "mature artists" - in which case it is a totally unfunny joke - Glory is another terrible chapter in the artistic farce that Britney Spears always was.

Even though it's not "the album of the year", this record shows us an unusual Britney, who's still better than we have seen at her last albums. She's still trying.

The worst album. Definitivo Britney se quedo estancada en el fracaso que venia arrastrando desde Femme Fatale, Britney Jean es mejor si comparas con Glory, demasiado autotune. Nada justificable su fracaso en los chart! My score: 0

Two things strike me on listening to this album: 1. It is a BIG improvement on Britney Jean (which btw got a score of 0/10 from me). 2. It does best when Britney goes full experimental mode. Invitation, the opening track, is one of those experimental tracks. A perfect opening song, it should have set the tone for the rest of the album, but as I listened to the rest of the album I felt some disappointment. While the tracks were very Britney, a few sounded outdated (Clumsy, What You Need), , while some others sounded too contemporary without reaching contemporary epicness (Just Luv Me, Make Me..., Love Me Down, Better), while others were just bland (Private Show, Hard To Forget Ya, Just Like Me, What You Need). However, the album is saved by those head-on experimental tracks I mentioned earlier: 'Invitation', 'Do You Wanna Come Over', 'Change Your Mind', 'If I'm Dancing', and 'Coupure Electrique'. These 5 tracks are the backbone of the entire album (especially considering they include both the first and last songs). As always, having more than 12-13 tracks on an album never does anyone any good, and it certainly didn't do 'Glory' any favors. This album would have done best with 8-10 songs. This is much better than the pathetic 'Britney Jean' but not as glorious as it could have been.

BEST: Coupure Electrique, If I'm Dancing, Invitation
    WORST: What You Need, Clumsy

To be honest, I was expecting a bit more. While the instrumentals are good overall (since In The Zone or Blackout, Britney didn't manage to bring instrumentals as good as the ones on this album), her vocals are so overproduced that almost made me stop listening to the album at some points.
The concept is good but the production when it comes to her vocals are a mess.

I used to like Britney's songs, but her most recent songs are really bad. Her fans love to say that she sold millions, but this what she is: an artist that make pop music and people buy pop music. There is no soul on this album, there is nothing special. It's time to be only a Vegas artists

Glory, the ninth studio outing from pop icon Britney Spears, does exactly the opposite of what the title of the album suggests. Trying to reclaim her former glory, it's evident the now 34 year old Spears wants to return to a prominence, the likes of which she hasn't experienced since her late 90s genesis; don't lie, "...Baby One More Time" was your jam, too. Trying to reclaim her former glory, it's evident the now 34 year old Spears wants to return to a prominence, the likes of which she hasn't experienced since her late 90s genesis; don't lie, "...Baby One More Time" was your jam, too. You wouldn't be entirely wrong to say I hold a certain bias towards modern Britney Spears discography, seeing as "...Baby One More Time" was in fact a childhood favorite of mine, but I genuinely find this album to pale in comparison to Spears' earliest work, and all the nostalgia in the world would not make me deviate from that position.

Lead off single "Make Me" (which features Oakland rapper G-Eazy) is not only the worst track on Glory, it also gives last year's standalone Iggy Azalea single "Pretty Girls" a run for its money as the worst single of Spears' career. Admittedly, Spears sounds a tad more inspired here than she did on 2013's Britney Jean, but she still sounds disconnected by miles. G-Eazy's presence creates a bit of saving grace, but the track in the sum of its parts, is forgettable. When I heard it on the radio for the first time, it wasn't until my local radio station's DJ revealed it was the new Britney Spears track. Moreover, "Make Me" is very much in line with the R&B infused pop you hear on mainstream radio here in 2016.

"Private Show" and "Invitation" are just plain annoying. The synths and bass lines coated throughout aren't the problem. The problem is Spears' vocals. Even if they weren't drowned with autotune, I'd still find her vocals as annoying as they are presented this way. "Man on the Moon" is a decent enough track; probably the best on the album. Spears sounds a lot more in control on this track, more so in fact than she has in years. But then "Just Luv Me" comes in as if it were ripped from a Skrillex project and while it's far from terrible, this track too is downright forgettable.

Unlike the title of this album, "Clumsy" is exactly what the title suggests. The synths are sloppy and and the bassline is as annoying as Spears' vocals. "Do You Wanna Come Over" is a solid enough track. Trying to get the album back on track, Spears approaches it with a level of seduction you'd find scrawled all across Justin Bieber's Purpose. Tracks like "What You Need" and "If I'm Dancing" are sloppy and poor attempts to close out the album on a strong note. Truly an ironically titled album, Glory closes with little of that to show for it.

I certainly don't blame Britney Spears for attempting to reclaim her place as a pop radio heavyweight. If anything, my 5-year old self is crying on the inside; seeing a childhood favorite make a comeback, however, doesn't come without a certain level of bias that is, in fact, derived from nostalgia. Moreover, I don't think Spears will ever top 1999's ...Baby One More Time. Nevertheless, expect the album to sell well, expect almost every single she releases from Glory to nearly reach the summit of the Billboard Hot 100. But the summit Spears reached at the turn of the millennium is something I personally don't think the now iconic pop singer is capable of attaining again.

The album is overall worse than previous Britney albums. Most songs do not really meet the expectations and lack replay value, becoming quickly boring or annoying. Biggest problem of the album is that Britney abuses her "chipmunk voice" that songs like Radar/If you seek amy are known for, works great for those two songs btw, but not every song will do right with that voice. Some others like "What you need" are even worse and the production is too presumptuous for itself. "Change your mind" is innovative, but doesn't really work and the song resorts to secondary voices to sing most of the spanish part, which is kind of upsetting. Other like "If I'm dancing" actually try to be good but fail because of a nonsensical over the top editing.

Of course among 17 songs, not everything is bad, "Do you wanna come over" will surely be remembered as another Britney hit, and "Make Me", "Man on the Moon" and "Liar" are pretty good songs.

er latest lackluster releases lowered everyone’s expectation for this album, but we should not forget the one thing Britney does better than anyone else in the industry: rising from her ashes in all her “Glory”.

Even though the general public reception is likely to be lukewarm, the album manages to truthfully portray Britney’s artistry and that is a very pleasant surprise. Years and years of unreleased songs and scrapped projects left such a bad taste in the mouth of the fandom that we grew ridiculously accustomed to a soulless robotic voice slapped on a perfectly-crafted catchy pop tune. Two of her most critically acclaimed works, such as In The Zone and Blackout, started to sound soaked in nostalgia for what could have been (if she hadn’t had that infamous breakdown). But no more sadness, just one listen to this record is enough to rinse our frustration and reassure us that Britney was indeed in charge of this project. A testament to that is her voice: sultry and playful, warm and grating, multifaceted and yet always recognizable. Her most devoted fans will also immediately detect her beloved guitar riffs, the gypsy jazz style, the talking bits in different languages, and the haunting mid-tempo melodies that many times filled our vivid imagination stemming from poor-quality demos.

The trend of urban slow-jams which is saturating the music market gives Britney the opportunity to indulge in the genre that has always suited her best. Some of the tracks (“Just Luv Me”, “Slumber Party”, “Better”, “Change Your Mind”) would fit perfectly in the Top40, evoking the atmosphere of Diplo’s and Drake’s most recent hits, but her unique flair and enunciation always manages to bring more to the table. Showcasing her astonishing versatility, the album spaces through different styles, from the hypnotic and vocally-syncopated “Invitation” that opens the record functioning as an intro to the trap-influenced “Love Me Down”, from the stripped down electro swing of “What You Need” to her signature beat drop in “Clumsy”. Glam-droid vocals pervade the refined ballad “Man On The Moon”, while “Hard To Forget Ya” and “Liar” quench our thirst of an early 2000s throwback. To complete the puzzle, “If I’m Dancing” with its jump rope rhyme beat is the odd-one-out song that defines every Britney’s standout album.

Our princess of pop mentioned several times in recent interviews that she wanted this album to be “very artsy-fartsy” and she managed to do just that without pandering to a particular social class by conveniently addressing a raging social issue (*clears throat* Beyoncé). In a world where it does not take much talent to get your song played on the radio station if you’re signed with the right label, Britney’s personality still shines when compared to the deadpan set of mannequins selling out arenas these days. In the years following her breakdown, she experienced an artistic blackout, pledging helplessly to the flow of the charts; now she seems to be taking a step in the right direction finally breaking free from her “Coupure Électrique”. Here’s to a Glory-ous return to form.

Her vocals are less processed and they shine in different places (see "Private Show"). The reason I gave it a 7 is some tracks are very forgettable, like the last 3 tracks on the standard edition, but songs like "Private Show". "Man on the Moon", and "Make Me..." really make up for it. Oh, and "Just Luv Me" just might be the sexiest song Britney has sung since "Circus".

Like Britney herself, Glory is a fascinating if flawed listen--while she remains very much a singles artist, this is her most successful record in a while, and still contains glimpses of why she remains so compelling, 18 years into her career.
  3. Glory is no masterpiece, but it’s a marked improvement on 2013’s ‘Britney Jean’, a messy attempt to merge thumping EDM tunes with supposedly reflective midtempo songs.
