An anxious cacophony of skittering drums ,hard edged wind instruments and compositions. This album is a dense instrumental jazz record that stays with you. It's moody yet relaxing reminiscent of the "Whiplash soundtrack "

Edgy, forlorn, and enigmatic instrumentals that are haunting. Its a well put together jazz record with a charismatic first track.

On the opening “Asynchronous Intervals”, Golding’s beautifully burnished tenor tone – sumptuously recorded here – plays against free drums that gradually morph into a slowly burning groove. On “ActiveMultiple-Fetish-Overlord”, that tone is broken up against Luthert’s palpitating, roiling low end work. “After The Machine Settles” is muscular jazz rock; “Because Because” with multitracked/echoing soprano, is a stirring conclusion. Because Because ends this gutsy, ambience-heavy record with joyous, Middle Eastern birdlike calls from Golding, calls that appear to answer themselves, thanks to Luthert.

The focus on deeply intuitive, sophisticated improvisation integrated with Luthert's instinctive, tasteful electronics is welcoming, adventurous, and abundantly creative.
