    A real piece of art, the sound she went with on this album is different than what she did with emotion. That doesn't mean it's not good, it's for the best honestly. The sounds are fresh and unique and she made pop what it's supposed to be.

Dedicated shows that she has dedicated herself even in those three years since her last album to continue showing authenticity with her music and style. Luckily his manager did not intervene at all in the creative process of the album, even though Emotion can be considered a great qualitative fate in that regard.

    Carly's songwriting is evolving with every project she releases, it's just that with this album some songs can be better and to an extent should be cut to make the album stronger.

    Just everything you could ask for from a music album. It’s fun, passionate, beautiful, catchy and heart-wrenching. Everyone should listen to this and I’d be shocked if any of them didn’t like it. It’s completely phenomenal!

It's an album that passes as a playlist of various artists that have peculiar but uniform sound and one that can be played in any mood you're in.     Dedicated is not my favorite album of hers but it is a fantastic album. This is one of my favorite albums of 2019. Her voice on the album is just as stupendous as it always is. I don't love very song on the albums but the ones that I do love are Now That I Found You, Party for One, Too Much, Julien, Feels Right (featuring Electric Guest), Happy Not Knowing, Right Words Wrong Time, and NoDedicated is not my favorite album of hers but it is a fantastic album. This is one of my favorite albums of 2019. Her voice on the album is just as stupendous as it always is.     The first half of the album is actually quite entertaining and good. I think that "Too Much" and Tracks 10-12 are probably the only tracks that I don't like. The second half overall is just underwhelming to me. A lot of tracks on the album are underproduced, which is never a good sign.

    This album is a total masterpiece. From the lyrics to the production every single aspect was through out and executed to perfection. It is a great album from start to finish. I highly recommend listening to it without shuffle at least once because it does somewhat tell a story. Another amazing record from CJR!!!

    Repite la misma fórmula de E•MO•TION, pero con una identidad diferente, no suena TAN repetitivo si le das la oportunidad, pero si es un poco insípido en ciertas canciones, a pesar de esto, es un álbum que habla de amor...propio, de pareja de una forma más madura a sus otros proyectos, es pop puro.

    Pop that gives you goosebumps. Pop that makes your heart soar. Pop that leaves a lump in your throat. Pop that activates your tear ducts and leaves a smile a mile wide on your face. Carly Rae Jepsen's "Dedicated" is the antidote to 2019. This is how modern pop music should be. Catchy, infectious, joyful, melancholy and fun. Pop never went away. It just got better. 10/10

    I think it's cohesive, not necessarily another E-MO-TION (which is totally fine), but I get the same initial feeling as when I first dove into Robyn's Honey -- although not as spiritual and mournful, just really well-written and it will unveil its charms with repeated listens.     First full listen it gave me a vibe of "continuation and progression of E-MO-TION" / "Emotion 2.0". I think this is/was mostly due to its heavily 80's inspired production, similar to the production theme of E-MO-TION. However, upon further listening there are definitely a fair share of differences, nuances, and unqie bits in production, songwriting and vocal delivery that make this albumFirst full listen it gave me a vibe of "continuation and progression of E-MO-TION" / "Emotion 2.0". I think this is/was mostly due to its heavily 80's inspired production, similar to the production theme of E-MO-TION. However, upon further listening there are definitely a fair share of differences, nuances, and unqie bits in production, songwriting and vocal delivery that make this album worthy of praising without needing to compare it to prior work. 1/3 of the tracks are very heavily disco / nu-disco (COW BELL!) influenced while the rest is a grab bag of dance and synth pop and some contemporary bits ("Everything He Needs"). Many of the synths remind me a lot of the ones used in new wave music. Overall a catchy, good listen that's easy to digest and enjoy without skipping tracks and heavy repeatability. Let your curious mind take approx. 50 minutes to listen to it and give it a try!… Expand

Definitely one of, if not THE best album of 2019 so far, and can't wait for the inevitable Dedicated Side B… Expand

    Dedicated is the best album of 2019, cheeky sounds on want you in my room and the majestic party for one show how great Carly is in her prime while the mysterious no drug like me is a masterpiece of pop perfection, one of my favourites is everything he needs and too much, two amazing dance bangers that have me screaming the lyrics

    This album gives me the pop attitude that I have not seen on major pop artist's music in the past few years. Without being bias I think this is what pop should sound like. The sound of the album is energetic, rhythmic, and joyful but not reaching the point of being childish.

Dedicated is another tree where Carly Rae Jepsen blossoms, from the funky start of Julien to the slow vibes of 'No Drug Like Me' this album has so many flavors! 'Now That I Found You' bring backs the catchy pop she is known for and 'Want You In My Room' shows her sexy and mature side. 'Everything He Needs' brings a classic catchy sound to the table followed by the pop boost of 'Happy Not Knowing'. The most surprising song to me was: 'I'll Be Your Girl' which gives me rock-pop vibes. Followed by my fave single 'Too Much' which should be the song of the summer. The Sound brings a cute production and her voice has a little rasp in it too. 'Automatically in Love' is my favorite song of the album, which gives me major throwback vibes to the 90's and great songwriting. Carly's collab with Electric Guest does not disappoint and gives me summer vibes. Followed by 'Right Words Wrong Time' which gives me the same vibes as 'No Drug Like Me' slow but her vocals shine. Up next: 'Real Love' which brings back the sax as well as in 'Want You In My Room', a great closer to a standard version, really cute. 'For Sure' is heartbreaking but also is an anthem and totally fits a festival, with the handclaps and everything.
    Followed by Party For One which gives this album full circle, from an ode to 'Julien' and other love songs/heartbreak moments bring her back to herself.
    Love the production,songwriting and her voice, she keeps progressing every time.

    Another collection of perfect pop from the legend that is Carly Rae Jepsen. She managed to keep her signature vibe, whilst still evolving further.
    This further solidifies her place as one of the most underrated artists in the entire industry.

    Beautiful album, each song sounds extremely different from the other and this album really shows her musical growth. All of the songs are amazing and i would HIGHLY recommend giving this album a listen

    It feels like a direct continuation of what is already a cult following masterpiece that EMOTION was. Jepsen entangles in her lyricism perfectly what is to have a very intense crush, mixing with lightly version of a somehow lost teenage angst from the early 2000s, al wrapped in a ver eclectic 80s inspired production. Somehow it already feels it will be obliterated by the general audience,It feels like a direct continuation of what is already a cult following masterpiece that EMOTION was. Jepsen entangles in her lyricism perfectly what is to have a very intense crush, mixing with lightly version of a somehow lost teenage angst from the early 2000s, al wrapped in a ver eclectic 80s inspired production. Somehow it already feels it will be obliterated by the general audience, but the loyal following of the Canadian songstress will be more than pleased with the iteration, filing the gap in pop music that is only filled by Carly's music.… Expand

    Carly has proven once again why she is truly the underground Queen of pop. This album does not have a single skippable song and just filled with substance. It's nice to enjoy a good track list without any filler songs unlike most artists nowadays that pad out an album. It's awesome pop is back again.

She has created one of the few albums that I can listen to every song, and not skip a single one. In my opinion, she has always been really underrated and underappreciated, and this album is truly worth all theOne of her best albums alongside Emotion, but Dedicated even surpasses it. This was underwhelming, some of the lyrics in the album were quite childish and repetitively annoying, “the sound sound sound sound sound” and “real real real love” isn’t something I would enjoy listening to, along with the production, let’s not tear it apart, but if EMOTION wasn’t a part of her discography (because that album is better than every one of her other albums), then I would choose Kiss or Tug Of War any day over this, and then I saw on another article that she wrote over 200 songs for this album which she describes as “songs to clean your house to”, and she had listening sessions, girl, I genuinely think your friends were actually cleaning their house and not paying attention to the songs you played to them over the phone because this sounds like a random selection of songs, hopefully if she releases a side b to this, it won’t be as disappointing as this album.… Expand

She should have included A LOT more deluxe tracks, “For Sure” was not a satisfying song to listen to, I don’t understand why “Party For One” was left off of the final track list, so that was disappointing.… Expand

    There could be an argument that a couple of edits to make the track listing shorter would have resulted in an even more effective album. However, this is easily one of the best pop albums of the year as it is: one that’s unlikely to be bettered unless a certain Ms Swift really pulls it out of the bag.

    Dedicated isn’t a perfect album--it’s overlong and occasionally concedes too much to chart tastes to be interesting. But by the time Jepsen takes a bow following bonus track “Party For One,” you’re reminded once again of her generosity, of all the space she’s cleared for strength and weakness, for personal epiphanies and communal release.
