IT'S WAY TOO LONG! Now that's out of the way. Auto Pilot was horrifc btw before I forget. I love that Quavo is trying to produce beats on here but is your sequel to a hit album a place to put your beat demos on? No. These beats should've gone on that trash jack huncho project. It's crazy because the 12 best songs on here would beat Culture and be a 7+ but it's ridiculously long and doesn't have any flow. Pharrell's stir fry beat and Made Men are some of the best choices they made here BBO and Culture National Anthem aren't bad either. The problem is that good moments are spoiled by bad moments. It's not a bad album but it's unbearable for some listeners for this reason. A rap group that really doesn't need to give haters another reason to hate them did just that with this release. Expand

CULTURE 2 is a decent album, but just too long. The album should be the same length as CULTURE 1. The beats and production were a little bit boring but still good. Takeoff saved the album from a 6 til an 8. Hope migos next album is shorter an ONLY fire.

WHY WAS THE ALBUM SO DAMN LONG!
I like Migos, i really do, but i like them is small doses. They aren't versatile enough to release a 24 song album.
There are definitely some good songs in there, but you have to go through a whole pile of crap to find them, it took me 3 days to listen to the whole album once, because after 7 songs i was already so tired of listening them. I liked

"Culture", even if didn't blow me away, was probably one of the entertaining rap albums of 2017. However, this album it's the perfect example of "glorified mixtape". A few song here and there are standouts like Stir Fry, Narcos, Emoji A Chain, Motorsport and Gang Gang, but aside of that even the performances that I expected be great were just forgettable like Posty or Gucci Mane. It's follow-up, "Culture II", instead encapsulates everything wrong with artists trying to increase profits through streaming. On "Culture II", Migos' signature sound is stripped of almost all it's energy and enthusiasm. The performances are generally forgettable, along with the production, as top-tier producers like Metro Boomin and Zaytoven give us some of their worst beats. Yet, digging deep into "Culture II" bears some highlights. "Stir Fry" is one of their best songs, with a colorful beat and catchy hook, "BBO" contains a (surprisingly) good 21 Savage chorus complimented by a nice sax sample, while the closing song sees Migos go a bit introspective over some beautifully arranged instrumentation. These are few and far apart, though, and as most Migos fans aren't looking to spend 105 minutes on one album, "Culture II" is an unfortunately sub-par album.

This album was pretty much trash. Migos continue to be one of the least inventive groups in hip-hop. The delivery is boring, the flows are unoriginal, the lyrical content is garbage, the features are not utilised well and to make things worse it was ridiculously long and therefore incredibly boring.

C U L T U R E is not a masterpiece. It is an entertaining record, however, filled with strong trap bangers and tight flow from the trio that made it more than just a standard trap rap affair. And this is true as the follow-up to their blockbuster C U L T U R E album, Culture II, is a bloated slog. At over an hour and a half long, Culture II is all the worst traits of Migos, three rappers that spit whatever comes to their mind no matter how embarrassing (i.e. the line about Huggies) or repetitive the hooks are while riding on boring, midtempo, and stiff beats that do nothing but become a bore if you aren't in the mood for the songs. I don't hate this album as much as a lot of people do, but this is still a mediocre album that often just runs together for me and it doesn't feature much of any unique characteristics. There are a few exceptions with the album. Stir Fry is an absolute banger, no thanks to Pharrell Williams, Open It Up is pretty climactic and grandiose, and BBO does have some swagger to it. But for the most part it's the Migos doing their usual MO in what is otherwise an over glorified mixtape. You can't blame them for milking the streaming game, you can only blame the audience that eats this up and making Migos popular. Expand

A good album, with the same level of their past project. Stir Fry helped the album have a new face. Gang Gang is very good to hear. And, Narcos is well produced! The Migos have to evolve their musical writing, this would help very much the quality of their musics.

It has always been easy to listen to the trio, full of upbeat tempos and very fun instrumentals. C U L T U R E was a surprising album from them, in that it took trap into a more tasteful direction, and it was clear that Migos were quite meticulous in their selection of what made the cut and where each track belongs to make sure the album never sleeps. In this sequel, the bloated track listing seems a little more sloppy. and that is one of the faults of this album. Each song, though, flows rather consistently and holds quality trap production that most contemporaries would ditch for a more DIY type of instrumental. With that being said, and just like its predecessor, the album seems very high quality and doesn't feel like a very rough cut like a lot of trap albums. Overall, its fun sequel to its original that includes many more catchy tunes that varies in their style.

This album is a very over-saturated 24 tracks in length. It's got too much filler in my opinion. If they'd pruned it more it could have been a really solid tape but there's too many generic songs on this one. Some really good highlights though. Amongst the filler are several quality tracks; but as an album, Culture 2 does not provide a strong delivery.
