Though the critics seem to be critiquing certain elements of this album, to me, it was unique, elegant and very well polished. I think as far as a debut goes, Lo-Fang does a great job in producing a different sound than most artists and he even plays over 7 instruments throughout the album himself. Very well done album with a few flaws but nonetheless a great debut.

While some songs lack of originality, the others are too boring or monotonous to even mind to listen. As a debut, it just doesn't work as introductory of a exciting career.

Lo-Fang tries to do too much on his debut album, Blue Film.

A string of songs offering glitchy low-beat techno, classical and ambient styles, Blue Film offers a great deal to those expecting something different in their musical diet.

His intimate voice strikes enough of a balance with the chilly electronics to keep the core of this winter release at room temperature.
