The band turn an Emo band, I couldn't even repeat the second listen. Worst and dull album.

I don't like EMO stuffs, so this album disappointed their indies fans.

It's dull, annoying, pretentious and full of histrionics. Bloc Party are the worst band in the world, and they've lowered the bar yet again for the endless wave of talentless bands-for-the-sake-of-being-in-a-band.

It's a given that some people will miss the raucous Bloc Party, but there are enough in-your-face moments and hidden gems to keep A Weekend In The City on regular rotation. [#16, p.90]

    A post-electronica, post-rave production that jettisons genres and cherishes uncut creativity. [Jan/Feb 2007, p.77]
