-
Apr 7, 2020jay was back on this project. deserves much more recognition than it gets to be honest. hope to hear more from him. 4:44 is gonna be a grower for years to come

Feb 1, 2020.This album was really good. I loved what Jay talked about and the production on here was amazing.

Nov 4, 2018This is up there with Jay-Z's, who for me is a genius, best work. A collection of influences come together to make an album that is innovative, tackles deeply personal themes yet at the same time is ear catching and inspiring. For an artist of Jay-Z's stature to open himself up to this extent at this point in his career and life is staggering. 4.44 is an album that has everything.

Jun 21, 2018Best album released in 2017! Love how personal this album....Hov is the GOAT
-
Jun 17, 2018An album that Jay Z can talk about what he wants to talk. He perfectly articulates the ideas he would like to talk about.
The production of every tracks by No ID is perfect. Great samples are combined with great beats. -
Jun 17, 2018Love this album, especially how Hov makes you feel like anybody can have their anagnorisis late on and still make the best of a bad experience, with him and Beyonce mixing well and Frank having lovely vocals.
-
Jan 2, 2018On this short but rich album Jay-z honestly ruminates on his personal struggles, family, race, success, modern music and his legacy.
-
Nov 30, 2017The 3rd album released after the infamous night of the elevator battle scene features male drama, family feuds and killer samples perfectly mixed with hip-hop/rap. JAY Z evolves drastically following some kind of Kendrick-Lamared poetic tones that'll definitely earn him some golden gramophones next year.
HIghlights: Kill JAY Z, The Story of O.J., Family Feud, 4:44, Legacy. -
Nov 24, 2017It is absolutely incredible after all these years, Jay-Z can release a banger like he has with 4:44. His honest lyrics combined with the usual amazing Jay-Z wordplay makes 4:44 one of the best 2017 releases. His flow is just incredible to listen to and the beats on every track is on par.
-
Nov 4, 2017Really like how raw it was. The album really shows both vulnerable and egocentric side of him. Lyrics are great and deep. None of the tracks are fillers. Overall, it's a good album.
-
Oct 6, 2017Album bem ruim amores, nao é nada do que estavamos esperando, nao chega aos pes dos melhores albuns da atualizade, infelizmente o jay z nao tem mais talento;
-
Sep 5, 2017A deep and inspirational album from Jay-Z which deals with real social issues such as building upward mobility within the black community. It questions the very materialistic lifestyle which rap was founded upon. The beats are great and Jay-Z delivers some insane flows on this project. The album doesn't need to be long because Jay-Z gives his message clearly.
-
Aug 19, 2017Smart, insightful, vulnerable and overall DOPE album. One of my favorite Hov's work, by far. Also the production of every single song is incredibly done by NO I.D.
-
Jul 21, 2017Un gran trabajo realizado por Jay-Z, no hay palabras para describir la perfección de este álbum, un álbum muy estructurado en todo sentido y visualmente una Joya.

Jul 17, 2017The album is amazing. Full of smart and deep songs. Wordplay is amazing, and you get a sense that real Rhythm and Poetry is being delivered. Those who are looking exclusively for club bangers pass right beside the great message that's being sent. I think this will go down as another Jay Z classic album.

Jul 14, 2017This is Jay's best album in years and his most open and personal. It's time he did this and man we as fans are rewarded greatly. Can't wait to listen to this over and over again. And he still has bars!
-
Jul 14, 2017I loved this album, and it was so good that I wasn't even expecting it, it caught me by surprise. Jay Z is brutally honest in the lyrics, criticizing mainly politics and personal matters. My favorite song "Kill Jay Z"
-
Jul 12, 2017this is the best album that i've ever heard in my entire. Jay-Z has delivered an fantastic, insanely banging on all levels album from start to finish.

Jul 9, 2017Jay Z reclaims his throne, by outdoing himself on this latest record. Everything, down to the production, the choice of samples, and the vocals is carefully mastered and perfected. 4:44 is a deeply personal account, and one that entertains rather than drag.

Jul 4, 2017Once again Jay Z cannot expand your vocal capacity talent either make a full non-sampled album. I talk about originality when I say that you can't express your truly emotions through people fable and catchy noises already known or effect phrases about adultery.
-
Jul 3, 2017Another potential modern day classic. I believe that we will look back at this album as one of Jays best in 8-10 years. Jays lyrics are, as always, almost flawless and accompanied by some of No IDs best beats in years which are a breath of fresh air in 2017.

Jul 2, 2017Jigga proves that he is a very versatile rapper, and his hip hoop career is solidified even more with an album that shows so many emotions and connects with you instantly. I loved every second of the album, and I hope that the three new songs from the physical copies are as good
-
Jul 2, 20174:44 is the best album that Jay Z could have made at this stage of his life. He has said everything else in rap so now he makes a great album about anything he wants now. I loved the verse for Prince's statue.

Jul 1, 2017The Return of Jay-Z, this is a short album that is saved by probably some of Jay's most personal and lyrical verses in years. To add to that NO I.D. outdid himself on the beats.
-
Jul 1, 2017In his most personal album yet, Jay Z proves that he has still got it after all these years. He brings up a lot of personal problems over some incredible beats. No I.D really killed it

Jul 1, 2017Honest and Mature. Not what I was expecting, but pleasantly surprised. His best work in this decade ad also puts some things from Lemonade into perspective.
-
Jul 1, 2017Jay-Z follows up McHG with more snore inducing music. His last great album was AMerican Gangster (or WTT if you want to include that) and I think it's time he retires. His idiot stans on KTT may hype this up but I think in a month we'll all realize Jay's days as an interesting lyricist/artist are over. He should have stopped after Black Album.
-
Jul 1, 2017In all honesty, is a raw and personal album similar to Lemonade, just without the intensity.
Best Song(s):
4:44
Moonlight
Caught Their Eyes
Worst Song(s):

Jun 30, 2017If you care to hear a multi millionaire complain about his life and do it while trying to somewhat keep a rhythm. To what can only be described as the type of beats a 50 year old man would choose to make a album over. Then this album is for you otherwise get it only if you need a to cure insomnia .
-
Jun 30, 2017he has grown as an artist and prove fatal songs are storng cohesive contextual and talent plus a big improvements from 2013 magna holy but on one note it still lacks a bit of acclaim of his early career albums but may possibly go down as a classic after many years but not straight however it remains one of his best even better than bp3 and watch the throne
-
Jun 30, 2017Jay z proved himself to everyone that after 21 years since his masterpiece Reasonable Doubt he can still put out a quality project. With this album Jay comes as the objective goat, he has longetivity, never lost relevancy, has many quality projects and is a billionaire this album is great and an improvement to Mchg. Very focused album no filler and straight on point

Jun 30, 2017Jay-z has managed to release one of his best albums at the age of 47. The beat selection is fantastic, and the lyricism, emotion, and delivery is almost flawless.
-
Jun 30, 2017It's rare that a man of Jay Z's status releases an album so intimate and vulnerable, especially one that pertains to the media frenzy that followed him last year. 4:44 is as complex and intricate as his spouse's "Lemonade," but all the more confrontational towards his actions and their consequences.
-
Jun 30, 2017I was very hyped about this, after Beyoncé last 2 albums i was hoping for an album with the same production or similiar, but the album is pretty boring, all the songs sound the same. Never been so happy for an album to over,
-
Jun 30, 2017Loved it. Felt like Jay's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy". I found that he was honest with himself, and honest with the audience on every track. The production was incredible, No I.D. really put forth some memorable music. Seems that Jay took ownership of his actions through his music.

Jun 30, 2017Hov consolidates himself as the greatest rapper of all time in this album. He speaks truth and his flow is still incredible. I would have liked a longer album but it's better having only 10 tracks if all of them are great.
-

Jun 30, 2017Jay-Z's best album since long time.No weak tracks, all high quality rapping by Jay-Z himself and brilliant production by No ID.Hov shows us why he's a rap legend.
-
Jun 30, 2017Jay-Z has blessed us with an album which feels like an instant classic. Masterful samples, quality rapping and a reminder why he was put on the hall of fame.

The WireOct 11, 2017A few tracks stand apart: "Story Of OJ" and "Mercy Me" both impress for verve and venom if not his every chain of thought. Otherwise it's all so dry that after a couple of listens it feels more like spoken word. [Sep 2017, p.62]
-
Aug 17, 2017A mere 36 minutes in length, it’s an all-killer no-filler triumph.
-
Aug 14, 2017Already one of the greatest rappers in history, this is the kind of late career artistic push that will cement Jay-Z’s place on rap’s Mount Rushmore. This is Jay-Z walking onto the stage alone, standing contritely in front of the world, and speaking from the heart, revealing himself in order to heal.
