It's exactly what I was waiting, and it was worth it. Adele came back with a record that perfectly summarises life experiences in the same way "21" did, but instead of raw anger now we have hope, nostalgia, undying love, etc. A triumph of giagantic proportions.

ok.......so 25 is very good. As in i thought 21 i was great but adele manages to evoke this maturity in in her latest album that evokes elements of 21 but the variety that makes the album beautiful. I feel like " I miss you " is a
beautiful song tht proves her depth and " River lea" that she is a song writer on the level of noel Gallagher..Overall , 25l is a great album

All i can say is that 25 is the best, most cohesive album I have heard in recent times. I honestly can't wrap my head around the reviewers saying this album sounds just like 21. I honestly can't wrap my head around the reviewers saying this album sounds just like 21. If you actually listened to the 21 album (and not just glanced it over), you honestly will not be able to say that. With this album, Adele has progressed her sound to be a bit brighter, more expressive, and more introspective. The songs, just like 21 did with heartbreak, gives you a full tour on the ups and downs of life and coming to terms with the resultant journey. Honestly, when i was done listening to the album, I felt like all those little feelings I had hiding somewhere inside were finally able to come to the surface. The only drawback for me is the long string of ballads towards the end. However, when Sweetest Devotion comes on, you realize why it was arranged that way. Honestly, 25 is better than 21 as far as I'm concerned (but not by much), as it shows progression of life and story.

Best Tracks: Hello (classic), I Miss You (my best), When We Were Young (classic), River Lea, Love in the Dark, All I Ask (another classic), and Sweetest Devotion (best album closer I've ever heard)

NB: This album will be a 10 if not for the long line of ballads towards the end. The only (slight) drawback to this album I can honestly find.

EDIT: Giving this album a 10. For 2 reasons: It sounds perfect on shuffle, and also so as to combat the stupid negative reviews this is getting. So congrats Adele. You get a 10.

The production is amazing, on every song, and although the overall tone of the cd is a bit somber, there are songs with a beat that are catchy and feel more upbeat than the lyrics. And, as far as a heart-felt cd go, this one exceeds all expectations, and aren't we all in the mood for that sometimes? Adele is back this time with a stronger voice and a very solid record. "25" isn't another heartbreak album, it's a make-up album. The album opens up with the (iconic and triumphant return) line "hello it's me" from the lead single "Hello", a ballad that reaches out to the loved ones and asks for their forgiveness. The first surprise is the Max Martin and Shellback produced track that gives Adele a poppy sound that suits her very well. Another upbeat song is "Water Under The Bridge" which is, in my opinion, a huge brilliant song, and a potential single. Although it's not a heartbreak record, it's full of strong ballads, like the Bruno Mars penned track "All I Ask", a remarkable song that proves that Adele has the strongest voice in the music industry these days. "When We Were Young" finds Adele reminiscing about the past in hauntingly beautiful lyrics. It's the song that defines the album the most. "Million Years Ago" takes Adele back to her "19" days. It proves that she only needs a guitar to make an astonishing song. Unlike "21" which ended on a sad note with "Someone Like You", "25" closes with an epic cheerful track "Sweetest Devotion" proving that Adele has overcome her sadness and found her happiness in another person, her son Angelo. "25" couldn't have been better. Expand

What a beautiful album! Love the lyrics, and of course Adele's gorgeous voice. It was well worth the wait! I also love that she doesnt over saturate the market with constant songs. Its nice for artists to go away for a bit and then come back better than ever - at least those with true talent as Adele has!

Adele is back and not surprisingly, better than ever before! Which makes me sad. This is honestly, the 1st time I've ever bought an album in my life! Her album follows its predecessor with stellar vocals, full blown emotional artwork, silky smooth and appealing beat and rhythm, and song lyrics crafted like its a sweet little poem. Obviously, just this wouldn't cut it, but Adele knows that. Adele seemed to work tenfold times harder on this album: She went on a couple year hiatus to live her life in order to, find some award winning content and to basically have a life other than her career; As revealed by her in the Rolling Stone interview, she focuses solely on the music and her music reflects her as a person and her recent experiences--Art--Personal art! Finally, an artist realizes the actual purpose of music for cripes sake! Music is intended as a go to way to express personal experiences and emotions, set up in a melody and beat that THEY FEEL matches with what they're experiencing, and ultimately, used to help them process their emotions! No auto tune, NO HYPERSEXUALIZED WOMEN USED TO RAKE IN VIEWS, no flat and mechanical vocals/lyrics, and full of absolutely apparent emotional struggle! The only criticism that I have is that a select few of the songs seem filler-y. But overall, the album is sure to send 21 to no. 2 on the Billboard's #BestOfAllTime--Albums. At this point, the album already deserves a 9.5, but Adele's personality rockets it to a 10: She's humorous, kind, doesn't get carried away by dangerous things(Ex: fame), and just overall is a wonderful person. The only bad habit that she has is her outrageously frequent swearing. Keep on it Adele! I know you are very afraid to fail, but don't let that control your life. Remember this: You need to realize that everybody has infinite potential and that with courage all people will have a 95% chance to reach that sweet success. Just be careful, make sure you don't start running away from your burdens; They will only get deadlier the more you run. Deal with your emotions, but try to also be happy--In combination with diplomacy, this is the healthiest way to live life! Even science has proven this! Expand

Most certainly one of the best albums of 2015, up there with To Pimp a Butterfly, Vulnicura, etc. Adele's voice is so powerful that it can most probably shake the mountains themselves. Her lyrics are so relatable too.

Hello, When We Were Young, Million Years Ago, and All I Ask are future classic potential. And it's very rare to say there are future classics on a modern pop album these days.

'25' is an album reviewers are making the dangerous mistake of trying too hard to compare to 21, instead of actually assessing it on it's own merits.

Sonically, this album is far different to her previous efforts '19' and '21', with the exception of "River Lea" and "All I ask". She is free, she has allowed herself to have more fun and to experience more. Speaking to Rolling Stone about the album, Paul Epworth said that "Their goal on the album was exploring the “weirdest sounds” possible on a centrist pop-vocal album and not being so “anachronistic” as they were on 21", and you can definitely tell. "I Miss You" is a great example of that, it has a slick ghost like Florence and the machine beat that see's Adele owning her sexuality in a way we haven't seen from her before. The songs that stand out to me, and that I think will become classics are "When We Were Young", "All I Ask" and "Sweetest Devotion". These songs are 'Adele songs', they are delivered with complete sincerity, have an emotional impact that fans will allow into their lives for a long time, much like "Someone Like You".

Overall this is an album that isn't aiming to put into any particular genre, it is an album making a statement, it is an album that you can pick up in 25 (forgive me, I had to) years from now, and play and instantly be taken aback by just how incredible it is.

The songs are not so much about love as the memory of love and, accordingly, there's a chasm between her aggressive vocal runs and the cautiously generalist lyrics, especially on the maudlin latter half.
