Fast-paced and action-packed, the blockbuster franchise and comic book saga unfolds for the first time on next-generation platforms, as Banner scours the planet trying to find anything to help him fight his involuntary rage. Gamers can demolish anything in their path, including lampposts, passing cars and even buildings. Worth Playing
While Spider-Man 3 might have had a somewhat better-looking and more accurate Manhattan, the frame rate in The Incredible Hulk is more solid, except for brief rare occasions when you're literally leveling several blocks of the city simultaneously.

The game is fun and being the Hulk as never been such a chaotic thrill. However, the horrible voice acting and corporate Achievement schemes will bring even the Hulk to his knees.

Games Radar
While annoying, the lock-ups don't really do much to dampen how outlandishly fun the game is. If you like the Hulk and you enjoying destroying things, you'll enjoy your time with The Incredible Hulk, even if you have to reset the system from time to time.

Game Informer
The word “good” should never be used when describing this game, but “entertaining” definitely fits it. Who doesn’t love smashing stuff? The Hulk does it better than anyone, and it’s captured quite well within this game.

Gamer's Hell
For a movie-based game, The Incredible Hulk is an enjoyable experience that works technically better on the Playstation format than the 360.

Though Hulk is a serviceable game that can be enjoyed over a weekend, it feels outdated.

As moviegoers walk away from the film hoping to continue the adventure, this Hulk is far from incredible.

What The Incredible Hulk for the PS3 does do is prove that, once again, most movie tie-in games are rushed products that lack creativity and fun.

AceGamez
The story is average at best, the presentation is poor and the game is rife with glitches. Despite these problems though, the fact remains that it's still an extremely fun game, largely thanks to Edge of Reality's skill at successfully putting you in the shoes of the destructive whirlwind that is the Incredible Hulk.

While it does contain moments of fun, playing through The Incredible Hulk will leave many gamers yearning to dust off their copies of Ultimate Destruction and reminisce about how fun it used to be to play the Hulk.

It’s fun to run around as the Hulk in an open world, harassing pedestrians and tearing the city apart with your bare hands, but with its uneven pacing, dull missions, and sloppy presentation, The Incredible Hulk won’t keep most players interested for long.

Cheat Code Central
To call The Incredible Hulk a bad game would be a bit too harsh. Instead, it is an aggravating, shallow, repetitive, buggy, and yet somehow moderately entertaining title.

A ton of side missions offer varying entertainment value, plenty of doodads to collect and power Hulk up with, and even a few cool alternate character skins for the green guy to wear. But I can't just quietly ignore the fact that a similar, but far better Hulk game (the best superhero game, for my money) sits on my shelf at home, and is readily available for anyone to track down.

You won't like it when this simplistic, repetitive, and occasionally broken game makes you angry.

Smashing is fun, but there's no real depth. [Sept 2008, p.78]

The Incredible Hulk initially delivers a suitably destructive experience, but the novelty soon disappears. Samey missions stretch the premise to breaking point, while a rushed game engine shows flaws early on, making it hard to recommend.

It's not a technical showcase by any means, but The Incredible Hulk is a decent enough game for Marvel fans and we can't deny that we had some fun with the physics; Hulk's later powers can be devastating. But when you've leveled the same building five times and caused 10 car pile-ups the fun wears thin.

But for a Hulk title, that's utterly disappointing--the game just doesn't live up to its potential. [Aug 2008, p.75]

You'll get moments of fun simply from being Hulk, but this isn't enough to carry the whole game. The incredibly disappointing presentation is sadly the final nail in Hulk's coffin.

If every mission is going to take place around the same five blocks, try giving the different areas a bit of character instead of exploding walls. Make bosses that are fun to beat up and not just another thing you throw cars at until they stop moving. Just getting rid of the multitude of minor glitches could have easily raised the score.

Jamie M. gave it a9:
wicked game the only reason not a 10 is because the hulk will move on his own sometimes without touching controllers and i have 3 controllers and they all do the same thing.

Bob P. gave it a10:
The best movie to game translation I've played since Spider-man 2. I could smash things for hours at a time... the perfect thing to relieve some stress after a hard day at work.

James I. gave it a10:
Best Video game ever....next to GTA.

[Anonymous] gave it a10:
From what I've seen this looks like it will be the best superhero game of all time. I mean come-on who wouldn't want to be the Hulk running free, GTA-style in Manhattan.
