ASB shines in every aspect, from its detailed, lifelike graphics to the in-depth stat tracking. All of the character animations are silky smooth.
It's those two Saturn World Series Baseball games that All–Star Baseball 2002 is most like. However, it too is missing that special ingredient, and falls on its face more than it succeeds.
Some of the issues with the AI and lack of quality sound definitely hold its potential back.
They got it all in there, it's just a little discordant and rough around the edges. And, despite the failings of this game, there is every reason to believe that All-Star Baseball 2003 will be the best console baseball game available next season.

A ho-hum game with some annoying AI and marginal presentation. Despite its plethora of modes, it's simply not very fun.
