More so than ever before, Nioh is a great choice for players who have since exhausted the superb Demon's Souls. Sure enough, even in its remastered form, Nioh cannot hope to match the visual magic that developer Bluepoint Games performed with From Software's opus, but in every other way that counts Nioh Remastered is a tremendous action RPG that holds up strongly even today.
Whether you're a fan of the original or merely want to experience the origins of the series after enjoying the fantastic Nioh 2, Nioh Remastered - The Complete Edition is a jam-packed and refined samurai action RPG that'll keep you hooked for dozens of hours.
An incredibly good combination of Dark Souls, Ninja Gaiden and Diablo. This game has a lot to offer: - Durability: You can spend a lot of hours by completing the campaign which is huge with plenty submissions and is very challenging. - The possibilities to build your character are incredible huge.
Even if it clearly does not shine with its technical overhaul, Nioh Remastered: Complete Edition is a good opportunity to immerse yourself in or discover the game of Team Ninja.

Phenomenal story beloved protagonist challenging difficult rewarding fantastic combat difficulty is punishining and rewarding a wonderful remaster with enhanced visuals framerate higher graphic settings and native 4k resolution and 120fps all 3 modes are fantastic the 120fps ruuns smooth with no drops the standard mode offers the best graphical fidelity while the native 4k mode offers the best pixel quality fantastic japanese culture with characters that you get attached to interesting enemies in the base game that sometimes lack variety but the DLC helps with that and introduces more enemies and more yokai bosses to fight the boss fights are good in general and now the game feels more polished than ever this is a better genre than the soul series itself it took the inspiration and soulsborne formula and made it into it's own better franchise
Nioh is amazing Souls-like action RPG. It feels closer to Dark Souls (or Sekiro) than anything else, but it takes many great ideas from several video game franchises including Onimusha, Ninja Gaiden, and Diablo. I am a huge From Software Souls fan but I have to admit that Nioh and Nioh 2 are better than Dark Souls 1-3, mainly due to the fantastic combat system, great loot system, and complicated but stellar crafting system. These games are also quite difficult (vibes of Ninja Gaiden). In fact, I'd say that they are harder than Dark Souls 1-3.
With the remastered collection for PS5, you get both Nioh and Nioh 2 for PS5 with improved visuals (up to 4k resolution), and a performance mode up to 120 FPS. These games have never looked better and while there were some technical issues with the Nioh 2 version of this game initially, most of these have been ironed out with patches.
Bottom line, Nioh and Nioh 2 were some of the best action RPGs for PS4 and with this remastered collection you get improved versions for the PS4. Highest recommendation.
