Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is an action-packed platforming romp that punches above its weight and connects effortlessly. A Christmas must-have for young and old gamers alike.
The latest Jak and Daxter game on the PSP comes with some flaws, but also delivers a good gameplay, three different kind of action and plenty of missions. The Lost Frontier takes a little to start up, but then proves to be a product of great substance, very well made and full of good ideas.
Overall, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is recommendable. In spite of the camera issues and frustrating and repetitive elements of the gameplay, it has enough going for it to make the overall experience fun. I think that I would have enjoyed the game more if it was all aerial and no platform, though.
Despite the moments that Lost Frontier falters, most of the game is a solid sequel that lives up to the Jak legacy. The platforming is a nice homage to the existing Jak games, and the flight combat builds a new element that feels both refreshing and familiar.
Jak and Daxter are finally back, but the quality of the gameplay in The Lost Frontier isn’t quite up there with the games on the PlayStation 2. The game tries to hide this by swapping different styles of gameplay very often, but this only ensures that the platforming isn’t getting the attention it deserves. However, the presentation is of high quality and it lifts this game above the average.
The biggest drawback of Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is not so much its boring, monotonous design as the overall lack of ideas. High Impact Games made a game “with cute little animals” instead of an epic adventure. It’s certainly playable, but it won’t make your heart skip a beat.
I don't think it's awful -- I just think I experienced the entirety of what fun the game has to offer in just a couple of hours, and then repeated this until the credits rolled.

The Game wasn't even close to what it was before! Naughty Dog were not involved in the making of this game, so the replacement developers for this game had absolutely no idea what they were doing. They could have left the series on a high note but this is everything wrong wih jak and daxter all together. Awful, Awful, Awful game
Since drunkedman entered the jak 3 it was going badly and worse since in which characters such as bruter, the cocopeero were missing and strangely it was very short and sometimes there were things that felt strange, such as how is it that aslin was kiss with jak at the end? why? why!?!? what happened with kiera!? but it is that the lost frontier ..... has the worst story of jak and daxter by far, and the writer of the story is neither more nor less than neil drunkedman, it seems that he was also drunk at the time of writing this story as he did with the last of us 2 because it shows that this game has no plot sense respecting the 3 games previous of the saga, I wonder how they did not fire Neil after the botch he did here with the plot because it makes 0 sense, it is an insult to the triology, it is seen that this man has no regard for the characters that already exist and prefers to invent things as seen in the last of us 2, everything he touches ruins it
Please, the daxter thing does not make sense, it would have to have been transformed into an obscurator, not into that weird thing in addition to more inconsistencies, well, it is what there is, what a coincidence that it has a 5.6 like the tlou, even now It will change when I put my negative vote. It is seen that here drunkman was already training to **** next games
