New art style aside, League of Evil 2 is basically more of the same, but that's just what we wanted.
League of Evil 2 is a more of the same but still manages to be extremely entertaining thanks to small additions and a solid gameplay.
The sequel doesn't quite live up to the original, but I still thoroughly enjoyed punching all 100 stage-ending scientists in the face.
The only real knock one can give to League of Evil 2 is that it is an extremely tough game, and thus will only resonate with a certain segment of the gaming populace.
One part of me wanted something more radical, while the other yearned for more of the same. After completing the first chapter though, both these feelings dispersed and I was just left with a simple primal urge to punch a scientist in the face, collect each briefcase and do it all in the quickest time. So what if it is pretty much the same game as before… it's still awesome, and I'm hungry for more!
Smooth and instantly playable, League of Evil 2 takes the template set by the original, then builds a bigger, brighter experience on top of it.
I'm not the biggest platformer fan in the world, but I'm in love with this one anyway. Though I could have done with a few more collectibles and a deeper story, there's not much to complain about here.
