Anyone from ages four to ten will no doubt love Super Duper Sumos, but for the majority of the gaming mass, it’s just another cartoon series title on the GBA.
The beat-'em-genre is great when done correctly. I wish it would get more exposure because it has been years since I've played a game of this kind.
The side-scrolling fight formula isn't new by any means, but the sumos give it their own fun spin. [Dec 2003, p.151]

While Super Duper Sumos might be aimed at kids, that's no excuse for this kind of uninspired and dull gameplay. The length, frankly, was one of the better things about it, as the end came as quite a relief.
