Works as a quick diversion, but I had no desire to put in much time with it. [July 2002, p.93]
More than just a technical marvel--it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience, albeit with a few shortcomings.
It's marred by some shoddy controls and these are exasperated in the later levels because you require precise, accurate ones to finish levels.
The poor graphics and lack of save weigh down this game considerably.
The most serious problems in Star X lie with its controls. The ship's movements are limited due to poor button configuration.
