Through and through, Donkey Kong Country 3 is a port of the SNES original title. While a fun title to play every once in a while, the short, linear levels can get a bit boring at times.
Keep in mind that Donkey Kong Country 3 is a new game for the GBA but it's not really a "new" game. If you're planning on purchasing it for someone as a gift do them a favor and ask them if they've already played this game on the Super Nintendo.
The stylised visuals looks great after all these years (and better than most things on GBA, it has to be said), and the exacting, refined gameplay formula still had us as hooked now as it did back then.
DKC 3 is a passable casual adventure platforming title, but it just doesn't compare to the masterpiece of the original--how can you have a Donkey Kong game without the main ape anyways?
One of the best games i've played in my life! In my opinion, this game was better than DKC1 and DKC2. I remember the challenge to complete the entire game, with all secrets. 10/10
Muito foda!
For me the second best of the Donkey Kong Country games after the original, the Retro Studios games included.
From the original Trilogy it offers the best visuals and the most variety. Sure some will say this game is too gimmicky, however I personally think, that this is the biggest strength of Donkey Kong Country 3.
Another big strenght is, the level design. This game has no cryptic hidden bonus barrels or DK-Coins. It feels more clear in his level structure. This makes it a more enjoyable experience to 100% complete the game than all the other entries.
Furthermore, the GBA Version gets the most additions compared to the original. A complete new world, a new boss and the best minigames in total. However, the new added boss is easy the weakest, because of how random he is. Especially in the last stage of the fight. The only downgrade of a fun and enjoyable experience.
