A playable tribute for the Final Fantasy enthusiast. A port from the arcade to PlayStation 4 with all his multiplayer frenzy. Adds a new story that confronts and explains the new war between heroes and villains from Final Fantasy. Great PVP, but a lack of content for the single player.
This is a good online oriented game with a lot of much loved Final Fantasy characters. There is lots of action and the fighting system is good, but the camera can be annoying sometimes. Plus, if you are not familiar with the FF-franchise, you will have a hard time understanding.
Dissidia mixes the charm of a series as beloved as Final Fantasy with a battle system that's equal parts fun and different from anything we're used to seeing in fighting games, but it lacks variety and modes. If you love Final Fantasy, then you'll probably love Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.
Standards for fighting games have risen dramatically since the first game in the series was released. The bizarre implementation of the story mode and the lack of other things to spend your time doing really hurts the game. Also, it lacks quite a few characters that the previous title had and just isn't the evolution for the series I think Square and Team Ninja were going for.
In Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, the characters of Final Fantasy are once again brought together in the ultimate fight between good and evil, but an overly complicated play scheme and other decisions make for a game that you fight against, not a fighting game.
Appalling players in the same home team are getting together with the opposition team to destroy the games being played and abuse honest good players and to sabotage the game this is obviously preplanned online via social media outside of the Dissidea NT game through social media profiles such activity is to be discouraged at the very least because it's just like Smash Bros community, TOXIC and ruining it for the sincere players unfortunately nobody is overseeing this madness within the games community
I feel like Dissidia NT gets unfairly reviewed for not being like the previous Dissidia games.
Dissidia NT offers something different that no other fighting game really offers right now and that is a focus on 3 vs 3 battles. I know Dragon Ball Xenoverse sort of offers the same thing but it's not really the same as in Dissidia NT because the majority of Dragon Ball Xenoverses PVP is single player.
I think Dissidia NT is a pretty good fighting game but the only thing that keeps me from scoring any higher than a 7 is the boring single player story mode which is basically on giant movie that occasionally has battles. The previous games story modes had a board game that you had to play in order to advance the story which was better in my opinion than what we have now.
It would also be nice if there was a shop where we could buy equipment to further customize the characters which was also a feature in previous Dissidia games that is absent here.
Anyways I still think this is a game that had huge potential to take everyone by surprise with how unique and different it is compared to the other fighting games we have today but maybe there was too much pressure to meet a dead line or there wasn't enough passion behind it.
I really hope they realize how much potential they had here to make a truly great game, maybe if they give it one more shot with the time and care that was given to the other Dissidia games than hopefully the next Dissidia game will be the one that grabs everyones attention.
um, what happened here, SE? We have two story-driven cross-over games in Dissidia 1 and duodecim and outta nowhere you change it into a tag-team Super Smash Bros? for what purpose? That's a rhetorical question as we all know it's only purpose was to latch onto a well established classic. The first two Dissidia's were highly revered and for good reason. They did what classical FF games did well and are known for; narrative driven games with loads of mythological ties sprinkled everywhere and threw in a very fun action RPG battle system.
this game...this game is not that. It's a brawler/fighter and a watered down version of it's predecessors. It saddens me, truly.
If they wanted another FF fighter they could have just called it Ehrgeiz **** even that game had a better story mode, the deep dungeon was great (same as the one in FFT) but nuuuooooo...they wanted to latch onto one of their popular IP's. In what world were they thinking that the people who loved the first 2 as story-driven single player titles would want to all of sudden play it as a online 3v3??
if you want a FF game that brings all the characters together in a neat way and is story driven just pick up FF Record Keeper or Brave Exvius; two FREE mobile games that sadly are gacha's yet still better than this game.
graphics and music are still top notch and the battle is fairly smooth so have to give them some points for those.
