    A true masterpiece! I’m speechless throughout the whole album. It’s a combination of sadness and joy that paints a picture of dramatic blue, the color of post-breakup feelings. This album definitely deserves a 10/10.

    ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!

    Lorde truly outdid herself. Pure heroine was great and melodrama is even better. Which is incredible considering she was only 15/16 when she made pure heroine and only 18/19 when she made melodrama. There is truly nobody who can capture stories and feelings that are so complex and sing about them beautifully. Nobody does it like her.

    lo encuentro mejor que su anterior álbum pero a la vez no. lorde se ha centrado más en ritmos movidos y realmente es destacable, me gustan mucho las canciones, junto con la estética de colores marinos. las canciones son diferentes entre ellas, lo que hace al álbum disfrutable. mis canciones favoritas son homemade dynamite, sober y perfect places

    Best album I have ever heard in my life! I never have experienced this much of excrement from an album and love towards it! The more I listen to it the more I fall in love with it. I recommend 100% I can’t even explain it, you just have to listen for yourself!

    This is a very good album, Lorde is too creative and a great songwritter. She doesn't need the charts because her songs are a masterpiece. I love so much the first single and the album is great. I can't wait for new music by Lorde.

    Everything with this masterpiece is just perfect, truly an impressive record.. From the magnificent maximalist production, brilliant lyrics, Melodrama is just a roller coaster of deep emotional songs like 'Liability', atmospheric stories like 'Sober II' and upbeat perfections like Hard 'Feelings/Loveless' or 'Supercut'.

    Este álbum me dio las emociones que necesitaba, melodrama sabe juntar muy bien las emociones con las canciones, ritmos buenos y calmadas, lírica muy bien pensada, sinceramente hasta Loveless me encanta a pesar que no es una canción de por sí. Lorde sí sabe hacer música y por eso ella es la reina del alternativo.

    This album is a masterpiece. Lorde’s repertoire is just stellar. This album feels like Pure Heroine’s older and more mature sister which makes sense since Lorde herself has grown.

    The artistry with the lyrics and production. Absolutely amazing.

    Lorde delivers a great pop concept album, with superb rawness and some of the best hooks of 2017.
    The production is wise and lovely, the concept is extraordinary, vocals are great as well. The songwriting overall is reasonable , some songs have great lyrics, and others are less strong. On some songs the production is too similar, for example on Green Light and Supercut, though all songs    Lorde delivers a great pop concept album, with superb rawness and some of the best hooks of 2017.

    This album, Anti and Lemonade are the best albums of 2017 and no one can change my mind. Lorde didn't need more than like 6 writers for the whole album, and the production is just flawless in every single track. Liability is so well written i actually have to listen to it several times to realize how good it is. Writer in the dark is so touching, Supercut and Sober are so fun, HomemadeThis album, Anti and Lemonade are the best albums of 2017 and no one can change my mind. Lorde didn't need more than like 6 writers for the whole album, and the production is just flawless in every single track. Liability is so well written i actually have to listen to it several times to realize how good it is. Writer in the dark is so touching, Supercut and Sober are so fun, Homemade dynomite is so empowering and Green light is nostalgic... this album had me on a rollercoaster of emotions that i want to get in over and over again.     This album has the unique ability of taking me to a different place and story every single minute. Each song has a different personality, a shape, a texture, a feeling (or a mix of all of them). I've been listening to it since the release and today I couldn't be more excited to see fresh work from Lorde.

    Totally deserves its score; the best pop album of the 2010s in all honesty. Totally captures young heartbreak in the sound and the lyricism. Probably my favourite album of all time and definitely her best work so far.

Apple Music says this album is for “alternative” music which is quite wrong as for me. This work contains multiple styles beginning with the futurism and ending up with some pop chords. IOne of the best album I’ve ever listened. Though it is written about being adolescent and immature the sounds feel so “tremendous” and wide, so you just can’t encompass all that stuff in the first place. Apple Music says this album is for “alternative” music which is quite wrong as for me. This work contains multiple styles beginning with the futurism and ending up with some pop chords. I deem this album stands at the intersection of different music, that’s what makes this work so unique. My favourite song of “Melodrama” is precisely “The Louvre”. If I’m not mistaken this song has a strong social context hidden inside. The sentence “Broadcast the boom boom boom and make ‘em all dance to it” refers to the absence of any uniqueness in pop music, in my opinion. I reckon “boom boom” melodies are not complex to create, and making someone dancing to them is like creating the society disregarding the art as the form of self-expression. “Green Light” is a good dance track. Of course, no one will turn it on when the party comes, but it is perfectly suitable for home parties when you dance on your own feeling the freedom and happiness. “Supercut” reminds me experimental alternative albums that I’ve heard by hyperpop artists. The rhythm feels so right when you try to understand the melody, especially when the lyrics of the song concurrently stop with the sound. The track name looks weird in the first place, but after some time ruminating about the meaning of the song you come to the unique conclusion that opens up all the sides of “Supercut”. The reprise of “Liability” is an ambient track that fills up your earholes with an airy, sometimes squeaky voice. It sounds so experimental and cool.
    To sum up I want to say that “Melodrama” is the album you have to listen anyway if you’re eager to be a smart listener. Rolling Stones think that this album is one of the best artworks that have ever been created, and I don’t think it is wrong.     Lorde shows us how she can be a great composer but algo had a great voice, that capability of produce great beats and melodies make Melodrama one of the best album of our time, debatable the best alternative/independent album

    Everyday on twitter there's always some Lana stan and Lorde stan squabbling. I'm a Lana stan who minds my own business. I thought it was long overdue for me to listen to this album given the hype (well-deserved, now that I've heard the album). It's taken me years because I just couldn't get into the way Lorde speak-sings.

It's taken me years because I just couldn't get into the way Lorde speak-sings.

    Anyway, this album is just excellent. Some songs worked better than others but on the whole it really is a no-skip album for me. Standout tracks for me were The Louvre, Liability (reprise) and Perfect Places. Perfect Places actually leaves me feeling more energetic and wanting to start the album over. It's a very cohesive album with good flow. I loved the track sequence and the album length. My actual score is actually 8.49/10 but I'm going to rate it 9 as I have a good feeling this album will only get better over time.    … Expand

    this has to be one of the albums with the best production i have ever heard. everything is just perfect, and every song is so unique and amazing that makes me believe this is one of the best albums released in recent years. melodrama shows how talented lorde is as an artists. she sure knows how to make a song. there wasn’t a single song that i didn’t enjoy, plus most of the lyrics in thisthis has to be one of the albums with the best production i have ever heard. everything is just perfect, and every song is so unique and amazing that makes me believe this is one of the best albums released in recent years. melodrama shows how talented lorde is as an artists. she sure knows how to make a song. there wasn’t a single song that i didn’t enjoy, plus most of the lyrics in this album can be very deep, which makes a great contrast with the melodies and different sounds. i’m not afraid to call this album a masterpiece. lorde outdid herself with this one, hands down.… Expand

    There are no gimmicks. There’s nothing screaming for acceptance. Melodrama is a raw, real album under its sparkly clean production. One written for the masses but able to resonate with each individual listener.
